IN-DEPTH Background/personality info on your character, as well as any character development that occurs during the series (Include any changes to fit into the Avoria world~):Once upon a time in a world... err, worlds, very different from ours, there were much despair. There lives a race that's between those of elves and those of humans: Half-Elves. Being half blooded, half-elves... were treated like crap. Less than crap even. A lot of half-elves decided to band together and try to teach the world(s) a lesson, and so they called themselves desians. And since they did lots of bad things, it made people think even less of half-elves.

Well, it just so happens there were two particular half-elves by the names of Raine and Genis Sage that were born in the world of Tethe'alla. Because of their mixed blood, their mother eventually decided it was for the best of her children to dump them over the Overworldly Gate and into the world of Sylvarant. Good choice, because soon after, she died. :( Genis at this time was too young to remember much of any of these events, and that's probably for the best. Anyway, Raine soon became Genis' new "mother" and together they traveled from place to place to find "home." Often, they would be found out and they would have to leave quick, other times, Raine would get paranoid and hi-tail it outta there before they could become found out. It all eventually came to an end when they soon arrived in Isalia. Actually, they met up with one particular person who would later become an invaluable friend: Lloyd Irving. He was out and about having a nice little BBQ party and pretty much dragged Genis to it. Since that moment, Lloyd and Genis were nearly inseperable friends forever :3

Later down the line, Colette comes into the picture and eventually become the three amigos! Colette is special, she's the Chosen of Mana, and her journey would bring prosperity to Sylvarant. If only it was that simple. But that's besides the point. After learning of her being the Chosen, Genis decided to pay a visit to a friend he's been meeting up with for a while, Marble. She was like a grandmother to Genis, but she was being held up in a Desian base camp. Every so often, Genis would go up to the camp and "visit" Marble, give her food and what not. Well his last visit ended up causing a lot of trouble and well... He and Lloyd (whom Genis asked to accompany him) pretty much got kicked out of Isalia for breaking a peace treaty the town had with the Desians. This all just set the path up for Genis and Lloyd's joining of Colette's little journey group, consisting of Colette, Raine, and a mysterious mercenary named Kratos. So EPIC JOURNEY GT TO SAVE THE WORLD WAS HAD, and along the way the group learned many things and ran into a lot of different people. The journey, for the most part helps reveal a lot of Genis's personality and hidden sorrows.

PERSONALITY! /o/ The easiest way to describe Genis in a nutshell is HE'S A BIG BRAT KTHX! He's a bit of a hypocrit and thinks lowly of most people and particularly hates people who are discrimanate of half-elves. Well, in the beginning anyway. Eventually, he learns to deal with it, and goes into more of just looking down on them. He goes through a point in the game where he states that he hates nearly all humans for being racist, but likes Lloyd because he's too stupid to care about Genis being a half-elf (or maybe he doesn't care that Genis is mixed blood, but whatever) Even though he does learn to accept people's flaws in their beliefs, he still throws sarcasm at people. Outside of this, Genis is very smart, aka Genius! And he likes to let people know they are stupid in essence. He thinks he can say that then go all :DDD. Doesn't work a lot. Besides that, Genis is also a little shy and a wuss, although he does learn to be braver later, and his shyness.... well, his crush ends up being... a bit too old for him, orz :(
